KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir at the beginning of the sapling plantation campaign today in Badam Bagh area of Kabul said that efforts are underway to transfer water from the Panjshir River to Kabul.
“Lack of a canalization system in Kabul has resulted in the contamination of underground water in the city,” said Deputy PM Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, considering the transfer of water from the Panjshir River essential for addressing the needs of Kabul citizens.
The campaign was launched today by the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock on the eve of the spring of the 1403 solar year, with the participation of high-ranking government officials of the Islamic Emirate in Badam Bagh, area of Kabul.
