KABUL: Natalia Quintavalle, charge d’affaires of the Italian embassy to Kabul and her accompanying delegation in a meeting with the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi said that her country is seeking to expand diplomatic relations with Afghanistan.
In the meeting, both sides discussed the recent UN-led meeting held in Doha on Afghanistan, future meetings and the expansion of bilateral relations, deputy spokesman of foreign ministry Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal wrote on his X account Wednesday.
Italian charge d’affaires said in addition to expanding diplomatic activities, her country is also working on the sustainability of Italy’s humanitarian assistance in the economic sector in cooperation with the World Bank and its partners.
Meanwhile, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs said that IEA seeks relations and balanced politics with all countries, said the source.
“Islamic Emirate’s interaction doors are open to all countries and Western countries can also have relations with Afghanistan in this regard,” the statement quoted FM Muttaqi as saying.
