KABUL: Construction work on the second phase of the Qush Tepa canal began in relevant areas of Jawzjan and Balkh provinces, the Officials of the National Development Corporation (NDC) said.
Practical work on the Qush Tepa Canal has been started in the respective provinces said Sayed Zabihullah Miri, the project manager of the Qush Tepa Canal, adding that working teams are currently engaged in construction activities at 20 locations of Balkh and Jawzjan.
He further added that considering the speed of work, it is expected that the construction of the second phase of the Qush Tepa Canal will be completed before the promised time.
It is planned that a total of 177 kilometers will be excavated.
