Kabul water shortage to be addressed, Mawlavi Kabir

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir in a meeting with the scholars and tribal elders of the Chahardi area of Kabul said that the Islamic Emirate is trying to address water shortage in the capital Kabul, Arg said in a statement on Sunday.

In the meeting, scholars and tribal elders asked the Deputy Prime Minister, in addition to implementing the developing master plan, the water shortage to be addressed.

Meanwhile, the Deputy PM assured the participants that the Islamic Emirate is working towards initiating the management and restoration of Kabul’s water resources from the national budget.

“The issue of water shortage in Kabul is a serious concern and in this regard, the government has asked the aid organization and partner countries to support in addressing the issue,” he said.
