KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in separate statements, that 8,000 thousand families received assistance in two provinces of the country.
Aids was distributed to 6,769 families in Sheberghan city, the capital of Jawzjan, and 1,234 families in the Bargmatal district of Nuristan province, according to the statement.
The assistance including foodstuff and cash has been provided by the World Food Programme (WFP) and distributed to destitute families, with the collaboration of the ministry’s directorates, according to the statement.
The process of distributing aids to destitute families continues across the country.
