Flash floods swept away three children in Uruzgan, Panjshir, and Kunar

KABUL: Following recent heavy rains floods have been triggered in most of the country’s provinces, three children have been swept away in Uruzgan, Panjshir, and Kunar provinces.

Local officials of the provinces confirmed that water swept away three children and injured three others.

In addition to life loss, it is reported that the floods have transformed hundreds of acres of agricultural land into riverbeds, killed a number of livestock, and destroyed dozens of homes.

Recent severe rainfall in the past few days has closed dozens of roads and destroyed scores of homes and hundreds of agricultural lands and killed dozens of livestock in some provinces of the country.
