KABUL: Deputy Art and Culture Minister of Information and Culture Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi states that to expand and promote urban culture, video, audio, and print messages should be increased.
He made the remarks during a joint meeting held between the Ministry of Information and Culture, Kabul Municipality, Traffic Department, and Afghan Film Directorate.
“In the city, in addition to laws, the most important principle is urban culture, and failing to observe it leads to various problems in city life,” he said.
Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi further added that raising awareness is the responsibility of governments, but respecting urban culture is everyone’s responsibility.
In the meeting, the responsibilities of the Traffic Department, Kabul Municipality, and Afghan Film Authority were tasked about urban order, observance of cleanliness, and promotion of urban culture, to produce and disseminate audio, visual, print, and symbolic messages.
He also emphasized the important role of media in promoting urban culture.
