KABUL: Spokesman of Parwan governor Hikmatullah Shamim in an interview with Radio OMID said that with the aim of providing assistance and solidarity to flood-affected individuals a medical team has been dispatched to Baghlan province.
A team of 30 doctors, led by the Deputy Head of Public Health of Parwan province, has arrived in Baghlan, he said adding, that six truckloads of necessary supplies have also been sent to the province.
Shamim stressed that these teams will remain in Baghlan and serve the flood-affected people as long as necessary.
It should be said that recent flash floods have claimed the lives of dozens of people and injured many others in Baghlan province.
The exact number of casualties caused by the flood is still unknown.
