KABUL: The beautification and greenary work of the Koh-e-Asmayee (Asmayee Mountain) on the side of the Artel Bridge, first passage of the third district of Kabul is underway, said the Kabul Municipality in a statement.
According to the statement, the project is being carried out by Kabul Municipality with the financial support of the Aga Khan Cultural Foundation.
The project includes the construction of staircases with metal railings, stonework, and landscaping in various areas and sections of the mountain, as well as stonework of the surrounding walls, soil transfer, sapling plantation, decorative bushes, and lawn planting are included in the greening components of the Asmayee mountain project.
According to the Kabul Municipality, the construction of 380 stair steps with a width of 40 to 50 meters and a height of 20 meters, and 17 green areas each spanning 20 to 80 square meters, are part of the planned work.
With the completion of the project, the beauty of the Asmayee mountain, which is considered one of the historic parts of Kabul city, will be enhanced.
