KABUL: The officials of the provincial Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock department of Balkh province said that wheat yields increased in the province compared to the past.
The officials said that considering the recent droughts, this year’s wheat harvest is good and it is estimated that up to two tons of wheat will be obtained from each hectare of land.
At the same time, a number of farmers also express hope about the increase in wheat yields, but they expect the Afghan government to find markets.
The recent rains have increased the yield of grains throughout the country.
