KABUL: The Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, and his accompanying delegation left for Herat to inaugurate some development projects, the ministry said in a statement Wednesday.
According to the statement, Minister Khairkhwa will inaugurate a road in the Ghurian district and 70 houses for the flood-affected families in Chisht district, as well as he will hand over the donated medical equipment by the United Arab Emirates to the regional hospital of Herat.
The acting information and culture minister is going to distribute agriculture equipment for farmers and inspect the restoration work of the historical sites in the province, the statement said.
He will also meet various tribal elders, scholars, and influential figures, the statement concluded.
