KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in response to the recent airstrikes by Pakistani jets on Afghan soil, stated that killing women and children at night is not an act of bravery.
He made the remarks today during a ceremony held in Kabul to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the former Soviet Red Army’s invasion of Afghanistan.
Minister Muttaqi emphasized that when the Pakistani government views Afghanistan lightly, it should consult with the Red Army, the British, the Americans, and NATO to see their fate.
“The people of Afghanistan do not forget either the good or the bad deeds of others,” he said, adding how it is possible from one side a Pakistani delegation to set face-to-face with the Islamic Emirate officials to negotiate, while at the same time, jets from Pakistan are attacking Afghan territory—isn’t this a disgrace for the Islamabad delegation?
He called on the people of Pakistan and its honorable political figures not to allow a few individuals to sacrifice the interests of the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan for the whims of others.
It is noteworthy that today, a ceremony was held in Kabul with the participation of high-ranking officials from the Islamic Emirate to mark the 45th anniversary of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan.
