KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, says that the political office of the Islamic Emirate based in Doha, Qatar, should engage with regional and global countries based on mutual respect.
He made the remarks in a meeting with the head of the Political Office of the Islamic Emirate in Qatar, Mohammad Suhail Shaheen, where Shaheen provided a detailed report on his-led office’s activities to Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, according to a statement from Arg on Monday.
The political office in Qatar defends the interests of the Islamic Emirate in international relations, said Shaheen, adding that this office aims to secure and expand Afghanistan’s relations with regional and global countries.
The statement noted that Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi praised the activities of the political office in Doha during the meeting.
The Islamic Emirate has maintained an active political office in Qatar for several years to advance its political agenda, and this office has been operational for over three years.
