Afghanistan welcomes strengthening cultural relations with Russian Federation

KABUL: The Deputy Art and Culture Minister of Information and Culture, Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, in a meeting with Jambulat Umarov, the President of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Nations of the Russian Federation, discussed bilateral cultural relations.

According to a statement from the ministry on Monday, Mawlavi Azizi described the role of the Russian Federation in Afghanistan’s economy and infrastructure as important and emphasized the expansion of cultural relations between the two nations.

Meanwhile, Umarov spoke about the historical and cultural commonalities between the two countries and considered them significant in developing bilateral relations.
