World Bank pledged to provide $20 billion in loans to Pakistan

KABUL: Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the World Bank has pledged to provide $20 billion in loans to the country.

He stated that the funds will be allocated for various developmental initiatives, including child nutrition, clean energy, private sector growth, and climate resilience.

Pakistan, facing a shortage of liquid funds, has been working for several years to address its economic challenges.
