KABUL: The Deputy Public Works Minister for Railway Affairs Mawlavi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, during his trip to Uzbekistan met with the head of that country’s railway department Nazloff Zafargyasovich, where the two sides emphasized the expansion of railway lines and transfers.
Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works said in a statement today that the officials of the two countries discussed increasing exports, imports, and railway transfers through the Hairatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway, as well as enhancing bilateral cooperation in the railway sector.
The Islamic Emirate delegation has also met with Ilkhom Mahkamov, the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan, said Haqshenas adding both sides discussed how to practically initiate the Afghan-Trans project and coordinate efforts to accelerate collaboration in this regard.
The Ministry of Public Works highlighted that the aim of the delegation’s visit to Uzbekistan is to continue and expand economic and trade relations between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
