KABUL: The Acting Minister of National Defense of the Islamic Emirate Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, in a meeting with Sayed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, discussed enhancing bilateral relations in various areas, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Mawlavi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, welcoming the Iranian Foreign Minister, called Iran and Afghanistan two neighboring countries with many commonalities and emphasized the need to strengthen and expand bilateral relations, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Araghchi emphasized the importance of friendly relations and close cooperation in various fields with Afghanistan and said necessary efforts should be made to expand trade, transit, and economic cooperation between the two brother and neighboring nations.
