KABUL: The American Wall Street Journal has reported that the U.S. Department of Defense, or Pentagon, plans to deploy 5,000 troops along the border with Mexico to prevent illegal immigration.
Currently, there are 2,500 soldiers stationed at the border, but it is expected that this number will increase to 5,000 and potentially up to 7,000.
It is noteworthy that the new U.S. leadership is sensitive to the issue of immigration.
