KABUL: The Ministry of Higher Education has rejected reports regarding a conditional agreement between the Islamic Emirate and Pakistan about scholarships for Afghan female students and called it baseless.
Hafiz Ziaullah Hashemi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Higher Education, said today in a statement: “Such reports are merely allegations, and no agreement has been made regarding scholarships for Afghan girls with any of the Emirati institutions”.
He added that the mentioned scholarships are intended for girls from Afghan refugee families residing in Pakistan.
The statement labeled the claims as malicious and attributed them to biased and unfounded circles.
Recently, reports have been published about a scholarship agreement between the Pakistani government and the Islamic Emirate for hundreds of Afghan girls.
