India and China to resume flights after years of delay

KABUL: India and China have agreed to resume direct flights between the two countries after nearly five years of suspension.

Relations between the two nations soured following a deadly clash between border forces in the Himalayas in 2020.

Experts believe that the restoration of ties between Beijing and New Delhi has been facilitated by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s mediation on the sidelines of the BRICS summit.
