KABUL: At least three prisoners were killed in a shooting by the police in one of the Tajikistan’s prisons, the Tajikistan state-run Khavar news agency reported on Monday.
According to the agency, the prisoners were killed after attacking prison guards by using handmade weapons at a facility belonging to the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry of Justice stated that three prison guards were injured in the attack, which involved nine attacking prisoners.
The ministry also mentioned that calm has been restored in the prison.
No further details have been provided about the attacking prisoners.
