KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has reiterated his commitment to preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons, emphasizing the need for swift action to secure a new agreement.
He wrote on X account on Wednesday that the U.S. aims to reach a mutually acceptable deal with Tehran that would allow Iran to achieve progress and prosperity peacefully.
According to the U.S. President, if such an agreement is finalized and signed by both parties, it would lead to widespread celebrations in the Middle East.
It is worth noting that Western countries, particularly the U.S., claim that Iran seeks to develop nuclear weapons, while Tehran argues that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes.
