KABUL: Due to cold weather, Iran’s government offices and educational centers have been closed in 20 provinces of that country.
According to IRNA news agency, Iranian officials made the decision after the country’s meteorological agency warned of severe cold temperatures in the coming days.
The national meteorological agency indicated that temperatures in the northwestern Ardabil province will drop to as low as minus 18 degrees Celsius.
Schools and other institutions are often closed in Iran, during the winter season due to shortages of heating materials.
