KABUL: Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has ordered maximum engagement with Afghanistan, the country’s consul in Mazar-e-Sharif said.
According to Iranian media reports, he emphasized that “based on the guidance of the Islamic Revolution of the Islamic Republic of Iran leader, a policy of maximum engagement with the Afghan nation is being pursued.”
He noted that the Iranian leader believes that regional issues should be resolved by the countries of the region.
This comes at a time when diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries are increasingly developing.
