Mullah Badri signs Kandahar marble mine’s contract with Turkish company

KABUL: The contract for the extraction of the Kandahar marble mine worth $6.2 million during a ceremony has been signed today, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said in a statement.

The contract was signed between the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Mullah Hedayatullah Badri, and Musa Amiyoglu, Vice President of Turkish Amiyoglu Company, said the statement.

According to the statement, under the 30-year agreement, the contracting company will be responsible for the exploration, extraction, and processing of marble from the Dara-e-Noor mine.
