Afghanistan becomes runner-up in International Martial Arts Championships in Iran

KABUL: The spokesman of the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports of Afghanistan Atal Mashwani, said in a statement today that the country secured the title of runner-up in the international Martial Arts Competitions titled ‘International Humanitarian Games 2025’ held in Iran.
“Afghanistan’s sports athletes achieved a total of 27 medals, including 6 gold, 9 silver, and 12 bronze at the competitions,” said the statement.
The competitions took place in Kermanshah, Iran, where athletes competed in various styles, including “Ossport, Ogsaya, Team Sumo, Bowloz,” and other disciplines.
Athletes from 12 countries participated, competing from February 11 to 15.
