KABUL: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged the establishment of a unified European military force, emphasizing that Europe must become self-sufficient due to a lack of assurance regarding support from the United States.
Speaking at the Munich Security Conference in Germany, he stated, “We must create European armed forces so that Europe’s future relies solely on Europeans, and decisions about Europe are made in Europe.”
Zelensky’s remarks come amid concerns in Kyiv about the possibility of being sidelined in efforts to end Russia’s invasion and the risk of a deal favoring Moscow.
