UN Secretary-General emphasizes a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel

KABUL: Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, has once again stressed the importance of implementing a two-state solution for Palestine and Israel.

In a statement on his X account, he said today that a two-state solution could enable tangible, irreversible progress and peace in the Middle East.

He also welcomed the ongoing ceasefire between the Israeli regime and Hamas in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a permanent ceasefire between the parties involved.

This comes after the UN Secretary-General previously opposed the U.S. plan for the forced expulsion of Palestinians from their lands.
