Asian Open Taekwondo Championships in Pakistan: Two Afghan athletes win gold medals

KABUL: In the ongoing Asian Open Taekwondo Championships, two Afghan athletes have won gold medals by defeating their Pakistani opponents, the General Directorate of Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports of Afghanistan said in a statement on Sunday night.

In the competition that was held in Islamabad, Pakistan, Tamim-ur-Rahman Rahmani and Hokmuddin Omid successfully secured gold medals after defeating their rivals.

These two Afghan athletes triumphed over three Pakistani athletes and one Afghan competitor during the matches.

The Asian Open Taekwondo Championships began on February 14 and are set to continue until February 20.
