Cabinet meeting emphasizes accelerating electricity supply to country

KABUL: The sixteenth cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, was held with the Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, on the chair, discussing various issues on the agenda.

According to a statement from the Arg on Tuesday, the cabinet discussed various issues and emphasized the need for Emirati companies to expedite the process of electricity supply to the country and take necessary steps in this regard.

During the meeting, the Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister was tasked with organizing a meeting with the Ministry of Water and Energy and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (the Country’s main power supply company) to clarify their respective responsibilities in detail.

Also, the Ministry of Economy was assigned to coordinate with relevant agencies regarding the implementation of development projects and to monitor their costs in a timely manner.

Cabinet meetings are regularly held to make decisions on governance matters, ministries, and significant national issues.
