KABUL: Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Works Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, in a statement, said on Wednesday that heavy snowfall has temporarily blocked transportation routes in several districts of Bamyan province.
The blocked routes in Bamyan include the Qonak Pass, the Shato Pass, and the Dahan Siyah Valley road in the Punjab district, as well as the road leading to the Pul-e-Band Shoy area.
As a result of route closures, communication between Bamyan City and the Qonak Pass, as well as between the districts of Yakawlang and Punjab, and from Dahan Siyah Valley to Pul Band Shoy in Punjab has been disrupted.
Currently, snow thickness in the affected areas ranges from 10 to 25 centimeters, and snowfall continues.
This comes as snowfall is also ongoing in many provinces across the country.
