KABUL: The Acting Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank (country’s central bank) Mawlavi Noor Ahmad Agha, said that the bank has enhanced the security of banking operations by following international standards, Bank said in a statement on Friday.
He made the remarks during the International Cybersecurity Conference on Banking, held in Russia, stating detailed and comprehensive information about the security measures in place and the information systems within the country’s banking sector.
Leading a delegation the Central Bank delegation, Mawlavi Ahmad Agha, actively participated in various technical sessions of the conference.
On the sideline of the conference, the delegation will also hold meetings with the governor of the Iranian Central Bank, and leaders of banks from several countries.
The conference was held in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia, where Afghanistan received an official invitation to participate.
