KABUL: The Acting Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali, in a meeting with Zhao Xing, the Ambassador of China to Kabul, discussed the reconstruction and expansion of Mirwais Regional Hospital.
According to a statement from the ministry on Wednesday, providing necessary medical equipment for Kabul National Hospital and setting up an institute for traditional medicine have been discussed in the meeting.
In the meeting, Minister Jalali emphasized the importance of strengthening the healthcare system by improving the capacity of healthcare professionals, expanding the sector, and ensuring hospitals are properly equipped.
Meanwhile, the Chinese Ambassador assured continued cooperation, committing to supporting the reconstruction and expansion of Mirwais Regional Hospital, enhancing the capacity of healthcare professionals, and providing essential medical equipment and medicines.
