KABUL: The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate, in a statement on Thursday, rejected claims of Pakistan’s Army spokesperson regarding the presence of members of the Baloch Liberation Army, an opposition faction, in Afghanistan and called it baseless.
The Foreign Ministry urged Pakistan to focus on its internal issues and security rather than making such irresponsible statements.
“No members of the Baloch Liberation Army have any ties with the Islamic Emirate and do not exist in Afghanistan,” said the statement.
The ministry also expressed condolences for the civilian casualties resulting from the attack on a train in Pakistan.
It is noteworthy that two days ago, an armed assault by members of the Baloch Liberation Army on train passengers along the Quetta-Peshawar route resulted in several deaths and injuries.
Following the incident, the spokesperson for the Pakistan Army claimed that the attack was planned within Afghan territory.
