KABUL: The leader of the world’s Catholics, Pope Francis, has died at the age of 88 today, according to the Associated Press.
He had been hospitalized for some time due to treatment for his illness and had been suffering from respiratory issues.
Originally from Latin America, Pope Francis was the first individual from this region to become the leader of the Catholic Church.
He has served as the spiritual leader of Catholics since 2013.
