KABUL: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in response to India’s airstrikes on the country’s territory, stated that Islamabad reserves the right to retaliate against these attacks.
He made the remarks today on his X account, emphasizing that India has attacked Pakistan’s five locations, and Islamabad has the right to give a strong response to these imposed assaults.
“The entire nation stands with the armed forces of Pakistan. The morale and motivation of the Pakistani people are high, and both the people and the military know well how to deal with the enemy,” he noted.
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned that Washington is closely monitoring the situation. He expressed hope that the tensions between India and Pakistan would be resolved through peaceful means.
Also, reports indicate that some Pakistani citizens have burned flags of India and photographs of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in reaction to the attacks.
