35 psychopaths treated by Afghan Red Crescent Society

KABUL: Officials of the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) said today that 35 mental health patients (psychopaths), after receiving treatments at their medical center, were discharged today.

The patients had been under treatment for one year at the organization’s General Mental Health Management in Kabul, and during a ceremony, have been reunited with their families, said the ARCS in a statement.

Dr. Abdul Wali Otmantzi, head of the Afghan Red Crescent treatment center, stated that currently, 5,910 mental health patients are receiving care across the country.

He emphasized the importance of sports in life and urged citizens to engage in physical activity to prevent mental health issues.

Previously, thousands of children with heart defects have also received support and treatment from the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
