KABUL: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate said in a statement today that leading a delegation Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, will travel to China soon.
According to the statement, Yu Xiaoyong, China’s special representative for Afghanistan affairs, in a meeting with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, invited him to visit Beijing at the end of this month (May).
The statement states that Minister Muttaqi has accepted the invitation.
In the meeting, the two sides also discussed the development of political relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Muttaqi expressed gratitude for China’s continued support and praised the progress made in trade relations between the two nations, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, China’s special envoy emphasized the importance of ongoing support for Afghanistan within the international community and assured that China would not spare any efforts in facilitating economic development.
It is worth noting that China’s special representative has traveled to Kabul for trilateral talks between Afghanistan, Pakistan, and China.
