KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement that 13 individuals have been arrested over drug trafficking in Kunduz and Parwan provinces during separate operations.
According to the statement, the counter-narcotics police forces conducting operations detained the individuals along with two kg of opium and 502 narcotic pills.
Previously, the counter-narcotics police had announced the arrest of dozens of individuals involved in drug trafficking and smuggling in several provinces.
Since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate, strict bans have been imposed on the cultivation, production, smuggling, and trade of narcotics across the country.
