KABUL: The Houthi forces of Yemen claim they have coordinated an attack with the Iranian military on targets in Israel, Reuters reports today.
Yahya Saree, the spokesperson for the Houthis speaking in a television said that the attack was carried out in support of the oppressed Palestinian people and Iran, using ballistic missiles on targets at the Yafay area of Israel, during the past 24 hours.
He stated, “The operation was conducted in coordination with Iran’s military actions against the “criminal enemy” of Israel for the victory of the Palestinian and Iranian victims.”
The Israeli regime has also confirmed that missiles were fired from Yemen towards its territory.
This marks the first time since the military conflict between Israel and Iran that a force has openly engaged in the region to support Iran.
