KABUL: Following the appointment of a special representative by the Kazakh government for Afghanistan, the Islamic Emirate has welcomed this move, describing it as an important step.
Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, said today that the appointment of a special representative will benefit both Kabul and Astana and will lead to a greater focus on bilateral issues.
He emphasized that this appointment could facilitate further diplomatic relations.
Recently, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed Erkin Tokumov, an experienced Kazakh politician, as his special representative for Afghanistan.
Political analysts view this appointment as a diplomatic advancement in the relationship between Kabul and Astana.
