KABUL: Iran has executed an individual named Ismail Fekri on charges of espionage for the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.
According to Iranian media reports, he was accused of gathering and sending crucial information abroad, acting against Iran’s national security.
Officials stated that he attempted to expose significant military and security information through direct contacts with Mossad.
This comes amid reports that, at the onset of the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the Iranian government had arrested several individuals on suspicion of spying for Israel.
