KABUL: Western media reported that Iran has targeted the U.S. military base located in Qatar with missile strikes.
According to Reuters, as reported by the Aksyon news outlet on Monday night, six missiles were fired from Iran towards the U.S. base in Qatar.
Israeli officials have confirmed the missile launch, but there has been no official comment from Iranian or American sources regarding the attack.
Details on whether the Iranian missiles successfully struck the U.S. base have not yet been released. Qatar hosts one of the largest U.S. military bases in the Gulf region.
Previously, U.S. officials had warned about Iran’s readiness to attack American bases in several countries in the region.
