According to a statement from Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, the Acting Minister called for the enhancement of diplomatic relations and the expansion of cooperation between Kabul and Ankara.
Muttaqi emphasized Turkey’s special role in Afghanistan’s foreign policy.
The statement highlighted that bilateral relations and regional issues were discussed during the meeting between the foreign ministers of Afghanistan and Turkey.
Hakan Fidan noted the importance of relations with Afghanistan for Turkey and stressed the need for expanding cooperation in various sectors.
This occurs amid nearly four years of political, economic, and commercial relations between Turkey and the Islamic Emirate with Turkey’s embassy in Kabul remaining active.
