Trump announces a complete ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel

KABUL: Donald Trump, the U.S. President, in a post on his X account on Monday night announced that the Israeli regime and the Iranian government have agreed to a complete ceasefire following 12 days of conflict.

KABUL: Following Iran’s missile attack on the Al Udeid military base, where thousands of U.S. troops are stationed, Donald Trump thanked Tehran for providing prior notice of the attack.
In a message on X on Monday night, Trump reacted to the strike but characterized Iran’s retaliation against U.S. bombings of its nuclear facilities as “weak.” He noted that no Americans or Qatari citizens were harmed in the attack.
Trump stated that Iran launched 14 missiles, with 13 intercepted and one landing outside the danger zone.
He also expressed gratitude to the Emir of Qatar for his efforts to maintain peace in the Middle East.
The Qatari government has announced that it worked diligently to intercept the Iranian missiles.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired the missiles at the Al Udeid base, located 300 kilometers from Iran’s border, after repeated warnings.l operations undertaken by both Iran and Israel.
He stated that Iran will first observe a 12-hour ceasefire, followed by a 12-hour ceasefire from Israel, resulting in a total ceasefire lasting 24 hours.
Trump expressed, “I congratulate both countries for their resilience, courage, and wisdom in bringing an end to the 12-day war.”
He noted that the conflict could have lasted for years and could have devastated the entire Middle East.
As of now, officials from both the Israeli regime and the Iranian government have not commented on the reported ceasefire agreement.
