KABUL: Shaikh Shahabuddin Delawar, acting president of the Afghan Red Crescent Society, has stated that negative propaganda against Afghan youth is a key reason for their migration abroad.
According to Radio Omid correspondent, he made the remarks today at a national conference titled “Causes, Consequences, and Solutions for Afghan Migration to Foreign Countries,” which was organized by a private university in Kabul.
He emphasized that all Afghan citizens now live under an independent government and that no one’s life is at risk.
He did not specify who is responsible for this propaganda or the reasons behind it.
The conference comes on the heels of a recent announcement by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, stating that from January 1 to the end of May 2025, over one million Afghan citizens have left the country seeking migration.
