Trump claims Iran’s nuclear program destroyed; intelligence assessments disagree

KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump’s assertion that recent strikes completely eliminated Iran’s nuclear program does not align with initial evaluations from an American intelligence agency, Reuters reported.
According to sources, Iran’s stockpiles of enriched uranium have not been destroyed, and the country’s nuclear program, much of which is underground, has only been delayed for a few months.
Trump made the remarks following U.S. airstrikes on three nuclear facilities, claiming, “We have completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear program.”
However, intelligence assessments indicate that these strikes have only had a short-term impact on Iran’s nuclear capabilities, and the fundamental infrastructure remains intact.
