KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement today that a man has been arrested with 8,400 narcotic tablets in Nangarhar province.
According to the statement, the man was detained during a discovery operation in the Dur Baba district of Nangarhar, with thousands of narcotic tablets (Zikap).
According to another report, police in Daikundi province discovered 90 kilograms of “opium” as a result of an operation.
The police stated that this amount was found in the Ghorma village of the Kijran district and was subsequently burned in the presence of a delegation.
Opium is a type of plant used in the production of heroin in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Additionally, police in Balkh province reported the arrest of two men with over 80 liters of alcoholic beverages earlier today.
