Afghan ambassador in Turkmenistan in meeting with Pakistani counterpart emphasized visa facilitation for Afghan citizens

KABUL: The Afghan Embassy in Turkmenistan said in a statement today that the Acting Ambassador of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan, Fazl Mohammad Sabir, has met with Dr. Faryal Laghari, his Pakistani counterpart.

According to the statement, Sabir emphasized not only the strengthening of bilateral trade relations but also the need to address the issues faced by Afghan migrants residing in Pakistan and to facilitate visa issuance for them.

Both parties discussed the importance of relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan during the meeting.

The Pakistani ambassador committed to conveying the concerns raised in the discussion to his country’s authorities, underscoring the significance of good relations between Kabul and Islamabad.

Reports indicate that the Pakistani government has recently suspended visa issuance for Afghan citizens.
