Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid: 20,000 to 30,000 Afghans returning daily from Iran

KABUL: Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, stated in an interview that the process of returning Afghan refugees from neighboring countries has been well-managed so far, addressing their challenges.

He mentioned that the Ministry of Refugees has initiated a management process for repatriation through the establishment of a commission, which includes welcoming returning refugees, biometric registration, health services, food distribution, temporary shelter, transportation, and cash assistance.

Mujahid also noted that a plan has been created to provide job opportunities for returning Afghans after their transportation to their home areas.

He described the return of Afghans from Iran as higher than expected, indicating that 20,000 to 30,000 individuals are returning daily.

“Most of the returning Afghans have valuable experience, and their skills will be utilized for the development of the homeland,” he added.

Mawlavi Mujahid emphasized the importance of addressing the rights of Afghan citizens in all countries, mentioning that discussions regarding Afghan citizens have taken place with several countries, including Germany.
